A Young Girl's Journey Beyond Cerebral Palsy
Patient PN was only six years old when we first met her. She had spent most of her life in a wheelchair, living with the debilitating effects of cerebral palsy. At first, she was terrified of these strange doctors from America, with their unfamiliar accents and medical equipment. Yet despite her fear, she showed remarkable courage as she faced a complex surgical procedure.
Three years later, when we had the opportunity to reevaluate her, her mother’s report was nothing short of astonishing. PN now runs and plays with her friends with ease, no longer defined by the limitations that once shaped her life. Her transformation is a powerful testament to the impact of specialized surgical care—and to the human spirit’s capacity for resilience and hope.

Dr. Glenn Weinraub
President, Board of Directors
A Los Angeles native, Dr. Glenn Weinraub is a reconstructive foot and ankle surgeon. He completed his podiatric surgical residency at Inova Hospital/Georgetown University Hospital in Northern Virginia, including a six-month training program in reconstructive lower extremity plastic surgery. Over his career he has been deeply involved in research and education, eventually serving as President of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. Today, he is on the academic staff at two podiatric medical colleges and is the Past CEO and Member at Large of Bones Pro Bono. Dr. Weinraub specializes in ankle joint replacement, trauma, arthroscopy, and adult ankle and foot deformities.
Dr. Thanh Do
Medical Director, Danang Orthopedic Hospital
Do Van Thanh, MD is the Hospital Director at Da Nang Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Thanh has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of orthopaedic reconstruction, with a special passion for adult foot deformities and pediatric clubfoot correction. He earned his medical degree from the prestigious Hue University of Medicine & Pharmacy and has been the vital bridge between Vietnam and America for this work.
Arch Hoffman
Director of Operations
Arch Hoffman brings a mission-driven approach to his role as Director of Operations, shaped by his service as a U.S. Army combat veteran. With a graduate degree from Columbia University, he has built a distinguished career in finance and tax, including leadership roles at PwC in Switzerland and senior advisory positions at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and RBC Wealth Management. Arch specializes in cross-border planning, investment oversight, and generational wealth preservation for family offices and entrepreneurs. At Doctors For Danang, he applies this extensive strategic expertise and professional accountability to ensure operational excellence and long-term sustainability for our medical mission.
Laura Schussman
Vice President
Ms. Schussman holds a degree in Finance from California State University. She currently works as an educator and administrator.
Cathy Patton
Board Secretary
Ms. Patton started her career with Sumitomo Bank in Santa Monica, California. She holds a BS degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Today, Ms. Patton is an educator in Southern California.
